• Prizes to Overall Male & Female, Overall Masters Male & Female, and to top 3 in each age group (10-year age groups).
• Timing services provided by Pretzel City Sports and the infamous Ron Horn.
• Ample parking.

Moving the Boats

The process of storing our two boats for the winter always starts with the question, “When?” This year we had plenty of warm weather up through December, providing die-hard paddlers the potential for a long season.

After many cold and wet days of lugging heavy dragon boats up and down the Schuylkill River ramps at the parking lot otherwise known as the “Schuylkill Dragons Home” my frustrated husband decided to do something to improve our method of dragon boat moving. 

2006 Fly With The Dragons

This year the Schuylkill Dragons again presented their popular fundraising event, Fly with the Dragons. This was the third year that individuals, groups, family and friends came out to the Schuylkill River to actually experience paddling in a dragon boat—a total of 176 guests paddled their way up and down the river.

One guest said, "We enjoyed it thoroughly. That is one diverse group of people! Please keep us on the list for future parties…"

A FABULOUS thank you to everyone for a very successful (loud and a little chaotic at times) but very successful cocktail party. We could not have done it without everyone who donated gift certificates and gift items, cajoled their friends, co-workers and everyone else to attend, manned the door and all the other things necessary to make this work. A very special thank you to the "cocktail party committee" Kay, Mary Kay, Buffy, Paula, Agnes, Terry, & Evelyn who worked so hard on the event. Ladies, we are awesome!
